Spacer Rings for Typical Door Speakers

What's a "typical" speaker?  It's one of the many 6" or 6.5" speakers that retailers list as fitting* the S2000, all of which have a cut-out dimension between 4 3/4" and 5.1".  This means all 17 speakers listed for the S2000 on Crutchfield's 2018 web site can be easily mounted in your car when using these spacers. 

We CNC-machine these spacers in our shop from high-density urethane, which has many benefits over wood-based products.  In addition to a 66% weight savings vs MDF, this material is dimensionally stable, dampens vibrations better, and is impervious to water.  And because it's not as hard as MDF you can mount your speakers without the need to pre-drill pilot holes when using the self-starting deep-thread screws that we supply.  If you need more than 4 screws for each speaker we suggest you purchase an extra pack of 8 screws from us, as not all "wood screws" will hold well in this material.

• Fit most 6" speakers and many 6.5" universal speakers with a cut-out dimension between 4 3/4" (121mm) and 5.1" (130mm)
• 3/4" thickness accomodates speakers up to 3 1/8" deep (top-mount depth)
• "Pocket" holes on the back side allow for a flush fit between the ring and door panel, normal "flat" speaker rings leave a gap and don't seal well
• Special cuts on top and bottom edge for door panel clearance
• Radius cut on inside circle allows drivers with a curved flange edge to fit flush

* You can actually fit more speakers in the S2000 doors than retailers indicate, when using our spacer rings.  As long as the top-mount depth is not over 3 1/8" and the cut-out is less than 5.1" your speakers will fit when using these spacers.  If you find a speaker that needs a larger cut-out look for our "larger' spacer rings that will fit speakers with a cut-out dimension up to 5.7".  That opens up your options to a lot of higher-quality 6 3/4" speakers, which generally have larger cones, bigger magnets, and more excursion.

NOTE - Focal 165AS speakers will NOT fit with these spacers, you must buy our "larger" spacer rings.

This product cannot be returned if it has been installed (has holes or any other alterations).
